Collector notes
Condition. Check for centering issues (common in 1970 Topps), chipping or wear on black borders, print defects like off-center images, corner wear, and edge roughness; avoid cards with wax stains or print snow.
Storage. Store in card sleeves with top-loaders or semi-rigid holders; keep in cool, dry environment away from sunlight to prevent border fading; use card saver I for shipping.
Authenticity. Look for correct card stock thickness, sharp printing dots under magnification, accurate Pirates logo and Clemente portrait; no reprints exist for this base card; prefer graded/graded/graded grading for authentication.
