Market outlook
Stable Outlook 6/10
Prices have shown post-release compression and moderate volatility, but the card remains a desirable character collectible with a limited print footprint.
Next months. Likely to trade sideways with small swings depending on condition, grading results, and overall Scarlet and Violet-era interest.
Long term. Moderate appreciation is plausible if sealed Clay Burst supply tightens and collector interest in Paldea-era secret rares continues to build.
History
Armarouge is a Gen 9 Pokémon introduced in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet (2022). It is the Fire/Psychic warrior-like evolution of Charcadet, known for its armored design and cannon-like fire attacks, and is one of the more recognizable Paldea-era Pokémon thanks to its strong visual identity and competitive play relevance.
First released in Japan in the 2024-era Clay Burst set, card number 086/084, as a textured secret rare-style full-art print; later associated with the English-language ME05: Pitch Black release in market databases.
- Stage 1 Fire-type Pokémon with 140 HP and the attack Flame Legion, which scales with your Benched Pokémon that have Fire Energy attached.
- Card number 086/084 places it in the secret rare numbering band of the set.
- Market databases consistently show a single known printing for this card, with no alternate print versions recorded in the available listings.

Collector notes
Condition. Check for centering, edge whitening on the silver borders, corner wear, surface scratches in the textured holo, and print lines or roller marks visible under angled light; Japanese textured cards can also show factory speckling or small foil imperfections.
Storage. Store in a penny sleeve inside a rigid top loader or graded card sleeve, keep away from humidity and heat, and avoid repeated handling of the textured surface to preserve gloss and edges.
Authenticity. Verify the Japanese text layout, correct secret-rare numbering 086/084, proper texture pattern, and crisp print registration; fakes often have flatter holo texture, blurry fonts, incorrect energy symbols, or wrong back-color saturation. Compare against a known authentic Japanese Clay Burst copy when possible.
