Market outlook
Stable Outlook 8/10
Demand remains strong because the card is iconic and highly collectible, but the large amount of sealed product opened since release keeps raw supply relatively abundant. High-grade copies should hold value better than lower-grade raw copies.
Next months. Likely to trade in a relatively tight range with occasional spikes for clean raw and gem-mint copies.
Long term. Expected to remain a core collectible from the 151 set, with strongest appreciation potential in graded 10 and other top-grade copies rather than raw examples.
History
Mew is a Mythical Pokémon introduced in Generation I and is one of the most iconic creatures in the franchise, associated with rarity, mystery, and the lore of having the DNA of all Pokémon. The Mew ex card in Scarlet & Violet 151 is especially significant because the set is a nostalgia-driven tribute to the original 151 Pokémon, making Mew one of the most thematically important chase cards in the product line.
The English Scarlet & Violet 151 Mew ex #152/128 was first released in the Scarlet & Violet—151 expansion on September 22, 2023 in the English Pokémon TCG market.
- This card is an Ultra Rare / Full Art-style chase card from the Scarlet & Violet 151 subset, and it is one of the most sought-after cards in the set.
- Scarlet & Violet 151 is widely recognized as the first Scarlet & Violet-era subset centered entirely on the original Kanto Pokédex.
- Mew ex is a fan-favorite card with sustained grading demand because Mew’s popularity and the set’s nostalgia factor support collector interest.

Collector notes
Condition. Check for centering, edge whitening, corner wear, surface scratches, print lines, and holofoil scuffing. Full-art and textured cards often show visible surface wear under angled light, and any whitening on the black border or corners can significantly affect grade.
Storage. Store in a penny sleeve and rigid top loader or semi-rigid holder, keep away from humidity and sunlight, and avoid frequent handling. For high-value copies, use fresh sleeves, graded-card submission sleeves, and archival-safe storage materials.
Authenticity. Verify correct texture, font spacing, set symbol, card number, holographic pattern, and edge finish. Counterfeits often have dull texture, incorrect saturation, poor black border quality, off fonts, or missing texture continuity across the full-art surface. Compare against known authentic scans and inspect under magnification for print quality and alignment.
