Market outlook
Stable Outlook 6/10
Recent listings show modest movement rather than a strong breakout. As a modern chase card, value likely depends on set popularity, grading demand, and whether Armarouge remains a favored playable or collectible character.
Next months. Likely to trade in a relatively narrow range with occasional spikes for gem-mint graded copies.
Long term. Over 1-3 years, price may slowly rise if the set ages well and high-grade population remains limited, but major appreciation is unlikely unless Armarouge gains broader character demand.
History
Armarouge is a Fire-type Pokémon introduced in the Pokémon franchise as the evolved form of Charcadet. In the main series, it is a Stage 1 Pokémon known for its armored, knight-like design and its association with psychic and fire energy; its Pokédex lore describes it as clad in armor fortified by psychic and fire power and capable of firing blazing flames.

Collector notes
Condition. Check the textured holo surface for scratches, whitening on corners and edges, centering, and surface scuffs from packing or binder wear. Full-art textured cards are especially prone to edge whitening and hairline scratches under strong light.
Storage. Use a penny sleeve plus top loader or card saver for raw copies, and keep graded-worthy copies in a semi-rigid holder. Store away from sunlight, moisture, and heat to protect the holo surface and prevent warping.
Authenticity. Verify the card number 086/084, English language text, correct Pitch Black set identity, and the texture pattern consistent with modern full-art/Illustration Rare cards. Fakes often have flat or blurry holo patterns, incorrect font thickness, poor color saturation, or off-center borders. Compare the back color and gloss against a known authentic modern Pokémon card.
