Market outlook
Stable Outlook 7/10
Recent raw sales fluctuating (-33.5% 30-day change) but Griffey legacy sustains baseline; high supply tempers volatility.
Next months. Stable to slight decline in raw; graded holds steady next 3-6 months.
Long term. Stable with upside for graded 9/10 in 1-3 years due to enduring icon status.
History
Ken Griffey Jr., known as 'The Kid,' was a Hall of Fame outfielder who played 22 MLB seasons, primarily with the Seattle Mariners, celebrated for his smooth home run swing, exceptional defense with 10 Gold Gloves, 13 All-Star selections, 1997 AL MVP, and 630 career home runs; he and his father Ken Griffey Sr. were the first father-son duo to play together in the majors, same lineup, and hit home runs in the same game.

Collector notes
Condition. Check for centering issues, print defects, edge wear, and corner chipping common in high-volume 1989 Fleer production; yellow backs prone to scratches, Tiffany glossy fronts show fingerprints easily.
Storage. Store in semi-rigid holders or top-loaders with sleeves in cool, dry environment away from light to prevent fading; use UV-protective cases for Tiffany variants.
Authenticity. Verify yellow back printing for base (blue for fakes/Tiffany); check for correct Fleer logo and font; graded/graded grading recommended; reprints rare but watch for off-color stock or pixelation.
