Tate Southisene is an American baseball shortstop from Henderson, Nevada, known for his quick-twitch athleticism, right-handed bat, and ability to play premium infield defense. He was selected by the Atlanta Braves with the 22nd overall pick in the 2025 MLB Draft and was viewed as a fast-rising prep talent with a compact frame, strong contact skills, and above-average all-around tools for his age.
First released as part of the 2025 Bowman Draft Baseball set, which was officially released on January 14, 2026; the BDC-70 base/Chrome image variation and related parallels, including the Aqua Refractor variant, appeared in the Chrome portion of that release.
Condition. Check centering, sharp corners, clean edges, and surface gloss; Bowman Chrome cards often show light surface scratches, print lines, and refractor-related scuffs, especially under bright light. Serial-numbered Aqua Refractors should also be inspected for stamp placement, edge chipping, and any roller marks or dimples.
Storage. Store in a penny sleeve and semi-rigid holder or top loader immediately, avoid friction against other cards, and keep away from humidity and direct sunlight. For grading candidates, handle only by edges and consider a team bag over the holder for extra protection.
Authenticity. Verify the card number, player name, team affiliation, and serial numbering against the checklist. Authentic Aqua Refractors should have consistent Chromium finish, correct numbering to /125, and no blurred print or off-color stamping; counterfeit risk is lower than for older stars but still exists for numbered prospect parallels and altered base cards.
