Market outlook
Stable Outlook 4/10
Prices are stable due to the high supply of modern reprints. The market separates clearly between low-value raw copies and high-value graded 10 copies, with little movement in the middle range[1][3].
Next months. Raw prices will remain low ($1-$5) with no significant increase expected for the next 3-6 months[1].
Long term. 1-3 year outlook suggests stability for raw copies; graded 10 values may see slight appreciation if the vintage market remains strong, but the abundant supply limits major gains[3].
History
Mew is a Psychic-type Mythical Pokémon introduced in Generation I (1996), known as the genetic ancestor of all Pokémon. It was discovered in a cave in the Guyana region of South America and is legendary for its ability to mimic the DNA of any Pokémon[11].
This specific Mew card was first printed in October 2021 as part of the Pokémon Celebrations set in the United States (English language), released to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Pokémon Trading Card Game[2].
- The card is a modern reprint of the original 1999 Fossil set Mew, featuring a distinct 25th Anniversary stamp and etched holofoil pattern similar to modern Secret Rares[2].
- It is card number 011/025, part of the 'Classic Collection' subset within Celebrations, which reprints five iconic Gen 1 cards[2].
- Despite being a new print, it lacks the regulation mark, making it ineligible for tournament play, and includes a note at the bottom clarifying it is not for modern tournaments[2].

Collector notes
Condition. Check for centering issues common in reprint sets, whitening on the edges due to the holofoil paper, and any scratches on the etched foil pattern which is more fragile than standard holo[2].
Storage. Store in a rigid card sleeve (penny sleeve) inside a top loader to prevent bending, as the holofoil paper used is similar to McDonald's promos and can be prone to creasing[2].
Authenticity. Authentic cards feature the 25th Anniversary stamp in the bottom right, the etched holofoil pattern, and no Wizards of the Coast copyright text (replaced with The Pokémon Company International). Fakes often miss the etching or have the wrong copyright date[2].
